myPocket (“Application”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile application that allows users to manually record and categorize personal expenses for self-management purposes.
1. Application Purpose
myPocket is intended solely for personal expense tracking and categorization. The Application does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
The Application does not require account creation and does not collect personal identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, or address.
2.2 Expense & Category Data
Users may manually enter expense amounts, categories, notes, dates, and budget data. All such data:
- Is stored locally on the user’s device
- Is not transmitted to our servers
- Is not accessible to us in any form
2.3 Automatically Collected Technical Data
Limited non-identifiable technical data (such as app version, device type, and crash diagnostics) may be collected to improve performance and reliability.
3. Data Storage & Retention
User-entered data remains on the device unless deleted by the user. We do not maintain cloud backups or external databases containing user data.
4. Security Practices
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for a local-storage application, including OS-level sandboxing.
However, no electronic storage method is completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining device security (PIN, biometric lock, OS updates).
5. Data Breach & Incident Handling
As no centralized storage exists, the risk of large-scale data breaches is minimal. In the event of a discovered vulnerability, remediation will be provided via updates and notifications where appropriate.
6. Third-Party Services
The Application may use third-party services such as Google Play Services or Firebase Crash Reporting / Analytics (if enabled). These services are governed by their own privacy policies.
7. User Responsibilities
- Ensuring accuracy of entered data
- Maintaining personal backups if required
- Securing the device against unauthorized access
8. Children’s Privacy
myPocket is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Application is provided “as is” and “as available”. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or financial records.
10. Governing Law
This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
